Grace Filled Righteousness

Scripture ~ I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain. Galatians 2:21

Observation ~ We are not declared righteous because of what we do in keeping the law, or in how disciplined we are, or how 'spiritual' we are - if any of those things could have made us righteous, Christ's death was pointless.

Application ~ How I need to receive  His righteousness, rest in His righteousness, rejoice in His righteousness ~ respond to His righteousness ~ remember His righteousness.

Prayer ~ Thank you Lord, for saving my soul; Thank you Lord, for making me whole; Thank You Lord for giving to me; Thy great salvation so rich and free.

The Lord's Amen

Scripture ~ And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen  Mark 16:20

Observation ~ The disciples were preaching, and the Lord was working with them by confirming their preaching. He wasn't just working through them, but working with them.

Application ~ What an amazing concept - the Lord working with us. Instead of simply working for the Lord, or having the Lord work through us, working WITH the Lord. They preached, then the Lord worked with them. I want to have the Lord say Amen to my preaching. I should look for that after I preach. If He is not saying amen, what am I preaching??

Prayer ~ Jesus, let's get to work. I'm going to speak and I invite You to say a loud amen. I'll be listening.
