Jesus went looking

John 9:35 records "Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him,..." regarding the man who was born blind and then healed by Jesus. So often we hear of the story of the rich young ruler who Jesus let walk away from Him, but here we see again how Jesus cares for people, especially for people who have been mistreated by the church. I believe that Jesus still goes to people who have been rejected. The key is for them to connect with the authentic church somewhere.

Rivers of Water

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Jesus promised that He is the source of living water, and that if we are thirsty, we can simply come to Him. Not only will the thirst be satisfied, but there shall be a river of living water that flows. And so I come, to read His Word, to spend time in His presence, to drink. May there be a thirst that is met, and the life giving river of the Spirit of God flowing through me to bring life to others.
