S - So David fled and escaped, and went to Samuel at Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and stayed in Naioth. (I Samuel 19:18 NKJV)
O - David was in trouble - Saul was trying to killl him. David ran from the King to the Prophet. Samuel had anointed Saul, but he had anointed David too. David needed safety, but I bet he also needed a word from God. He also needed to let Samuel know what had happened.
A - What do I do when I'm in trouble spots? Don't just look for the 'authority', but look for the man of God. It's a good thing to run to those who we know hear from God. It's good to go to safe people, who become safe places.
P - Lord, thank you for the safe people that you have placed in my life. I realize there are fewer than I thought, but the ones who are safe, really do become safe places. Thank you that you are my safe place - the name of the Lord is a strong and mighty tower - the righteous run in to it, and they are saved!
