Impulsive Folly

S ~ He who is slow to wrath has great understanding, But he who is impulsive exalts folly. (Proverbs 14:29 NKJV)

O ~ Being impulsive exalts folly, or honours foolishness. Not somethign to be proud of.

A ~ Slow down. Slow to anger and shooting my mouth off. Understanding takes time. Impulsive happens all at once without thinking. Slow down and think. Don't be a quick angry person, but a slowed down great understanding wise person.

P ~ Lord, thank you for helping me to be slow to anger, think things over, and make wise decisions.

Diligently Seeking - Look Out!

Reading Proverbs is an exciting experience for me right now. I am really trying to mine out truth that I can remember. Today I read this;
So I came out to meet you, Diligently to seek your face, And I have found you. (Proverbs 7:15 NKJV)
This is talking about the immoral woman trying to seduce the simple man; her result was that she found him. But the emphasis that I saw was in the three words before that - diligently, seek, face. How very intentional sin is.  Its got my number. There is a tailor made plan for my destruction, that in fact is looking for me.  God keep me I pray.

Starting Proverbs

A Day Off. The sun is out but there is threat of a thunderstrom this afternoon. I may get to float my boat for a bit. I am pleased that I am down seven pounds. I hope I have said goodbye to the 250's forever. I went for a great motorbike ride to see Dad and Val. I caught some rain but a wer ride is better than no ride. I am in Proverbs right now with my bible reading. The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just. (Proverbs 3:33 NKJV). I am wanting to live as a person of proverbs, obeying the promises, and seeing the blessing of the Lord on the wise. Help me to be wise. Teach me what it means to live justly.
