Exiled Curses

S ~ Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight. Proverbs 26:2

O ~ Curses without cause have no place to land, they have no power.

A ~ All of the horrible and awful things Audrey's mom has said over her, have no place to land. They have no power and must return to the sender.

P ~ Lord Jesus, in the power of Your name, and according to Your Word, I agree with You that no curse spoken over Audrey has any power to land. May every curse be broken, and it be exiled from Audrey's life, never to return. She whom the Son sets free, is free indeed. Where every curse has been, in Your name, I reverse the curse, and declare the blessing of God. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Guard and Avoid

S ~ Guard what was committed to your trust, avoid profane and idle babblings, and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge. 1 Tim 6:20

O ~ Guard what I am called to be about, and to know, and to teach, and to live - and avoid the stuff that causes us to stray.

A ~ This is so helpful - stay on target. I just need to not stray from the faith by being distracted about 'knowing' vaccines, global warming, politics, economics, church buildings, etc. What has been committed to my trust is 'the faith', 'the message', 'the mandate', my family, my church, my city.

P ~ Lord, please help me to be found faithful. Jeremiah was placed in the mire, and they pulled him out. Please pull me out of the mire of 'false' knowledge - may I avoid that - and guard what is entrusted to me. Amen.

Confined

S ~ ...I am confined. I cannot go into the house of the Lord. You go, therefore, and read from the scroll which you have written at my instruction, the words of the Lord in the hearing of the people. Jeremiah 36:5-6

O ~ Jeremiah was confined, but he found a way for his voice  - and the words of the Lord - to be heard. Baruch wrote down his words, and then took them, and then read them.

A ~ I am confined. I cannot flit off to Germany, Italy or Africa. I cannot be in many places at once...but my words can. Twitter, Blog, Facebook, etc. And not just my words, but the word of the Lord.

P ~ Lord, please help me HEAR Your voice, UNDERSTAND Your words, and effectively PROCLAIM Your message. Amen.

No Vacancy

S ~ O Jerusalem, wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved. How long shall your evil thoughts lodge within you? Jeremiah 4:14

O ~ They did not only think evil, but the evil thoughts found a dwelling within the people's hearts. Wickedness and evil dwelt in their hearts and minds.

A ~ God's desire and direction is that we may be saved. So do this: Wash! Be cleansed. Become clean. "How long?" implies 'it's about time!".  Don't wait. Don't delay. Don't let evil thoughts make themselves at home in our hearts -send them packing - adios!

P ~ Lord, for too long I can entertain evil thoughts - bad attitudes - selfish motivations, even choosing to believe lies. Cleanse me and I shall be clean. Wash me, in the blood of the Lamb. May You help me to have no vacancy for evil and wicked thoughts to dwell in my heart, my mind, my life. Amen.
