Don't Stir the Pot

S ~ As the beating of cream yields butter and striking the nose causes bleeding, so stirring up anger causes quarrels. Proverbs 30:33

O ~ Make no mistake: when you stir up anger, you will get a quarrel, not peace.

A ~ There are times when I am angry, and want to 'deal with' a situation. When I approach it with anger and don't care that the other person will be angry, no good thing happens. When I 'tune them in', rare is the time that things go well. Stirring up anger in others, or in myself, leads to quarrels (an angry argument or disagreement).

P ~ Lord, I don't want to be one who stirs up anger, but rather stirs up love, and provokes others to good works. Help me to be a man who brings change, and resolution, and action, and righteousness, but help me do it without stirring up anger.
