Faithful

S ~ He had seventy sons born to him, for he had many wives.  He also had a concubine in Shechem, who gave birth to a son, whom he named Abimelech. Judges 8:30-31

O ~ This one son would kill all of the other seventy sons (except for the youngest who escaped). Gideon fought and won a victory over Midian, but he sure lost the victory of idolatry and home life.

A ~ Of all the things that are important, it is my faithfulness to God and my faithfulness to my family. Judges was such a wicked time in the history of Israel - and we live in a pretty wicked time now.

P ~ Lord, may I be found faithful, and I pray Your faithfulness over my life and my household.
