Constant Mourning

S ~ Samuel never went to meet with Saul again, but he mourned constantly for him. And the Lord was sorry he had ever made Saul king of Israel. 1 Samuel 15:35

O ~ The outward appearance and the inward reality. Samuel may have never outwardly show grief for Saul (rather anger), but he was in constant mourning over the loss of Saul. Even God was sorrowful over this loss.

A ~ The loss was not Samuel’s fault, nor God’s. It was Saul who disobeyed. May I life a life of obedience, and not cause those over me grief.

P ~ Lord, please don’t reject me ~ may I be faithful to what You have called me to. I don’t want to cause grief. (Prayer of Jabez - may I not cause pain).
