Eyes On God

S ~ So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.  For the Father loves the Son and shows him everything he is doing. In fact, the Father will show him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished. John 5:19-20

O ~ The Father shows the Son what He is doing. Simple.

A ~ I have been focusing on trying to see what God is doing - trying to hear what God is saying - and I have been thinking it is all up to me. I have been thinking it is my responsibility to be watching closely. Although this is true, it is only in part. The Father showed the Son what He was doing. He showed Him. God showed Jesus. It wasn’t only that Jesus was watching, it was that God was showing. I can watch all I want, but if God is not showing, it’s a no go.

P ~ Father, as I try to keep my eyes on You, please show me what You are doing, that I might do likewise. Amen.
