S ~ “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.” Ezekiel 36:26-27 NKJV
O ~ Even though you get a new heart and a new spirit, and the stone is removed, stoney areas can appear again. Like getting liposuction, if you don’t have a lifestyle change, a fresh start won’t last.
A ~ God offers such an amazing transformation - life for death. A clean heart and a new spirit to follow Him, but it must be renewed, and cleaned, over an over again. It’s not a once and done - it’s a fresh start that needs maintenance. Just like windshield wipers in the rain - new windshield and new blades - but they still need to wipe away. Sometimes fast, sometimes slow, and even sometimes intermittent - but never off until it stops raining.
P ~ Lord, thank You for the new life you have given me. Please take the Stoney areas of my heart away, and replace them with softness. Please cause me, with a renewed and right spirit, to walk in your ways, and to honour you in all I am.
