Content Inside

S ~ There are three things that make the earth tremble—no, four it cannot endure: a slave who becomes a king, an overbearing fool who prospers, a bitter woman who finally gets a husband,
a servant girl who supplants her mistress. Proverbs 30:21-23

O ~ In each one of these examples, their station in life is changed. From slave to king, from foolish to prospering, from single to married, and from servant to saboteur. Their station in life has changed, but they have not. There will still remain slavery on the inside, foolishness, bitterness and malice.

A ~ The grass may be greener, but you take who you are with you. Paul writes that somehow he had learned to be content, no matter what. His station in life did not determine his joy or contentment.

P ~ Lord, help me be content on the inside, so no matter what changes in life, I am complete in you - not living a life of striving to attain something, or be someone else.
