Rest Stop Ahead

S ~ Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light. Matthew 11:28-30

O ~ What a great invitation - come to Jesus when you are weary and have such heavy weights upon you, and He gives  - not sells or trades or makes you work for - but gives rest, and rest for the soul.

A ~ This is the verse that came over and over and over to me during the sabbatical, and even Emily Dawn reminding me of this as the sabbatical came to an end. She reminded me that I need to live in this upon my return to work - coming to Jesus and finding rest. I think I am doing this, although sporadically and imperfectly. I would like to grow in this.

P ~ Lord, thank You for the reminder of the reminder today. Please help me to come to You. Fill me with rest, and rest deep in my soul - and help me to learn from You.
